Standing room only…
This past weekend, we held our 15th Annual Acclivity Partner Conference in Toronto, Canada, at the Renaissance Toronto Downtown Hotel at Rogers Centre. This was our second event at this fantastic facility. The conference was a complete sellout this year and was attended by our Partners from all over the USA and Canada. We spent two full days demoing, discussing, debating and delivering content specific to our Certified Consultants who specialize in supporting and selling AccountEdge and Checkout POS for Mac. These are the same folks you’ll find on our Community Locator when you need local help.
This year, we showed the latest projects underway within the halls of Acclivity, including AccountEdge 2011, Checkout 4, and our iOS strategy. Also, we learned about PCI compliance from our Merchant Accounts Partner, and conference lead sponsor, ACH DIrect. Also with us was our friends from Apple Canada, SOFA, developers of Checkout and Enstore, and SurePayroll, our longtime partner who provides our US Full Service Payroll Service.
Over the course of 2 days, we heard lots of great success stories about our Partners and our customers; how they use AE and CO, and how we help them run their business. Our belief is that if we treat our Partners like family, they’ll be successful, and therefore, we’ll be successful. It’s that simple.
This year, the following Partners were recognized at our Annual Awards Ceremony:
- Partner of the Year: Doris Cahill
- Sales Partner of the Year in Canada: Dick Hope
- Sales Partner of the Year in the USA: Peggi Sturm
- Checkout Partner of the Year: Jonathan White
In a simple twist of karma, the Dalai Lama was also at the Rogers Centre this weekend. Although we didn’t see him, we did get to see the back stage preparations, but it was still pretty cool.
There is already talk of where we’ll go next year; Vancouver? San Francisco? Seattle? Vegas? New Orleans? Philadelphia?? For some of us, we need to recover from this year first.
Thanks to all who attended and congrats to our Partners of the Year.
