What's this 1099-K and how does this affect...
If you receive funds via a credit card, debit card or online payment providers (e.g. PayPal), you’ll most likely be receiving a 1099-K form this year.

Best Laid Plans
We are incredibly pleased to announce the release of AccountEdge Mobile for Canada. Approved by Apple and available for download from the iTunes App Store. Truth be told, pleased is probably not the right word. Relieved may be better. Canadian taxes proved trickier than anticipated and taxes aren’t something you can afford to get mostly right. Five continents down, two to go
Acclivity today entered into a distribution agreement with Accounting Made Clear (AMC) which will extend the reach of AccountEdge into Africa and the Middle East.
Now we just need to find a South American partner (we won’t hold our breath for AccountEdge Antarctica).

AccountEdge 2011 for Canada Released
This week Acclivity released the 2011 version of AccountEdge for Windows and Mac. You can check out the new features here: Mac and Windows.

AccountEdge Mobile v1.4 Released
Version 1.4 of AccountEdge Mobile is now available which adds support for syncing with AccountEdge Basic as well as addressing multiple bugs and some UI enhancements.

Loss of a true Partner
On March 24th we lost a true giant in our family, and our industry. Terri Zeh Jacobson, one of our Elite Certified Consultants in MN, lost her battle with cancer. Acclivity today announced a partnership with Asian Business Software Solutions (ABSS) for Asian distribution and support rights to its award-winning AccountEdge small business Mac software. Mike W came into my office yesterday with a question from a customer. They wanted to know if there was a list of all of the shortcut keys. We scrambled around the office since we used to print that up on the back of a user guide. Emails with a Black Background
In a video post from a few weeks ago I spoke about a bug in Mac Mail that was introduced with an update to Safari and Mac OS X 10.6.4. When sending an email with an attachment from AccountEdge a black background appeared which covered any text message accompanying the PDF.
